SOLID STATE PHYSICS
Research within physics of condensed matter physics includes experimental and theoretical investigations.

Main domains of research include:

New materials of highly anisotropic crystal and electronic structures (systems with charge and spin density waves).
Electronic and magnetic properties of amorphous metal alloys.
Strongly correlated electronic systems (heavy fermions, Kondo alloys and high temperature superconductors)
Investigations of critical phenomena, including modelling of "equilibrium" phase transitions, as well as nonreversible processes like surface growth
Investigations in the domain of many body theories of low dimension systems (high temperature superconductivity, Pierls instability, charge and spin density waves).

Materials investigated include semiconductors, superconductors, ionic materials, metals, metal glasses alloys and various organic and inorganic compounds.
