Ph.D. students – Early-Stage Researchers (f/m, 2 positions) for a 4 year contract in the research
field of nanophysics, research to be performed within the Centre for advanced materials and sensors
( http://cems.irb.hr/en/ ), Research unit Graphene and 2D materials.
Mandatory Requirements: Completed Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study (Master's
degree) in Physics or equivalent degree entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate, and
enroll in a PhD School of Physics.
Priority will be given to candidates who have received awards, scholarships, etc. for excellence
in studies, participated in scientific research work, have co-authored scientific papers, or
presented at scientific meetings. The candidates skilled in synthesis and nanofabrication of 2D
materials, as well as with experience in experimental characterization of 2D layers and
heterostructures will also be prioritized.
An application should demonstrate proof of mandatory requirements and of the experience of
the applicant. It must be accompanied by a resume, a diploma or certificate of completion of
the study entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate, and enroll a PhD School of Physics,
proof of additional criteria, and contact details of a scientist that may provide references on
request..
